This happens every day because of a perfectly legitimate process known as “drop catching,” where people quickly snag the domain names owners have let expire and try to resell them or use the links associated with the names, which could be extensive, to create Web sites loaded with advertisements. You can easily avoid becoming a victim of a drop catcher by better understanding how the domain registration system works to protect your domain name.

Your Web site, with all the content you have so painstakingly added, sits on a computer with a unique address called an IP address, which is simply a series of numbers. A domain name is an address forwarding service that directs visitors to the site using this IP address. Domain names are used instead of numbers because most people find it easier to remember a name rather than a bunch of numbers. It’s as if you could dial your friend’s name into the telephone instead of his phone number.

According to the rules established by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers(ICANN), domain registrars have 45 days after the expiration date to notify the owner that their domain name is going to be dropped from the registry. If the name is dropped, the guidelines then call for a 30-day grace period during which the owner can still claim the name. After this grace period and then another five-day holding period, the name is dropped from the registry and anyone can claim it.

Since 2004, however, a number of domain service providers, starting with SnapName.com, have created an auction process for expired names which bypasses the original drop process and makes the names available in as little as thirty days. GoDaddy.com begins the auction process even before the names have officially expired, although it does warn the auction participants that the owner could still claim their name.

These providers of domain services each have tools on their sites to make it easier to grab expired names. They provide constantly updated lists of expired names, various auction services, search engines, and other free tools for anyone to quickly and easily find available domain names. Some sites also offer software for sale that further simplifies the search for expired and soon to be expired names.

With the surge in online advertising, drop catchers will continue to seek out domain names from sites with good traffic, anxious to exploit the established links. Genelia D’Souza has denied the rumors about her marriage with Riteish Deshmukh. A leading tabloid had reported that Genelia will be tying the knot with Ritesh in February.

An angry Genelia says, ‘To set the record straight, I am not getting married to anyone. I have always maintained that my personal life is not something I would like to discuss. But this time since it was something that would affect my family, I decided to take a stand.’

The whole Bachchan family is gracious, Bachchan saab is an amazing gentleman, Abhishek is just like his father he is lovely very civil and nice.

Aishwarya Rai is a fine lady and I have nothing but respect for her, we greet each other and we are civil with each other and it’s nicer that way. Everybody has moved on.”

Aamir Khan and Imran Khan to Rock the Screen

Mansoor Khan who directed blockbusters like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Josh would make a comeback with a remake of yesteryear classic Yaadon Ki Baarat. The movie would star Aamir Khan and his nephew Imran Khan.
It is believed that the movie would be made under AK productions banner. Sources close to Aamir Khan say that it is him who persuaded Mansoor Khan to make a comeback after such a long absence.

Leading ladies of the movie are not known yet, but the buzz is that Kareena Kapoor might be roped in as she is too excited to work with Aamir Khan after the humongous success of 3 Idiots.

Since the last few years, whatever Aamir Khan touches is turning into gold. It would be interesting to watch how this in-house movie fares at the box office. Would it surpass Ghajini and 3 Idiots? Would this movie give Imran Khan the much needed hit? Only time will tell!

Uday Chopra on Pyaar Impossible

Uday Chopra is all set to make a comeback with his new movie Pyaar Impossible, he is the scriptwriter for this movie, and he said that the movie is about looks of the lead characters and its impact on their lives. Uday says,”The look is very important for the film because it is all about outward appearances. Pyaar Impossible is about a guy who looks like a geek and a girl who looks like a star. Will they ever be able to get together? So the whole film rests on looks.”

He further added, “So we thought lets have characters who look so unachievable that a girl like this would never look at him and a guy like this would never be able to achieve the girl.” Uday Chopra wrote the script with Priyanka Chopra in mind. He said, “When I first thought of the subject of a beauty and a geek, I knew that this kind of character Priyanka would be able to play brilliantly. She was in my mind while I was sketching the character.” Uday confesses that the storyline has some real life, but the movie is not an autobiography and is not inspired from the reality TV show Beauty and the Geek.

He also said, “It is not autobiographical. Everyone, mostly in his or her school or college days, falls for someone unachievable, to whom they cannot express their feelings. It happened with me as well. I borrowed a few of those moments bit the main storyline is fresh and the ideas did not come to me from the reality show ‘Beauty and the Geek’.

Uday Chopra made his debut in Mohabbatein, he also featured in Mujhse Dosti Karogi (2002), Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hain (2002), Dhoom (2004) and Dhoom 2 (2006).

Uday had the concept in his mind for a very long time. Only after his movie Dhoom 2 he decided to write the story. He also said, “I did not know that I would ever make a film out of it. I had the idea so I started writing the story. There was nothing else to do except a few behind-the-scene jobs, which did not take much of my time.”

When asked why he did not direct the film, he said, “my primary goal was to make a movie with the best of my ability. It was not that I have to make a film, I have to write it, I have to produce it and I have to direct it. So, at that point I thought it is better I do not direct it because I had to focus on too many other things.”Â

Aishwarya bumps into Salman

Aishwarya Rai Bachan is using ignore and walk policy these days. A few days ago, Salman Khan and Aish crossed each other. This incident took place at the Mehboob Studio Salman was shooting there for Veer’s promo, which is releasing next year. Aishwarya was also shooting in the same studio for her upcoming movie Guzaarish by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

According to the people present there, Salman just came out of his car and was speaking over the phone with a pleasant smile. However, his smile disappeared as soon as he saw Aishwarya step out of her car and walk towards her van. Aish entered her van immediately, so the onlookers could not see her reaction. However, Salman’s uneasiness was visible.

According to the sources in the studio, they stopped for a moment, looked into each other’s eyes and walked away immediately. The source also said that after the incident Salman was not in the mood to shoot, but could not get away with it. the source also mentioned, “though he walked in talking on the phone with a smile, after coming face-to-face with Aishwarya he did not utter a single word, except when he was facing the camera.”

Deepika and Ranbir Spotted Together

Deepika Padukone was seen having dinner with Ranbir Kapoor in a five star hotel in Worli, Mumbai. They both stepped out of the hotel and went in a car together. This is their first public appearance after their break-up.

They first occasion when the met each other was at an event held by Bhavan Pandey. A source says, “Ranbir and Deepika arrived separately for the party. They were cordial at the bash. It was the first time they were spotted together after they parted their ways. They took everyone by surprise when they left the venue together.” The observers were surprised to see them go together in Ranbir’s car.

Deepika and Ranbir were both unavailable for comments in this matter. Maybe they are trying to work out their differences.
