Bipasha game for steamy scenes with Josh Harnett

Not very long ago there was news about the dusky siren Bipasha basu bagging a Hollywood project, which will be directed by the Oscar-winning director Roland Joffe, she is working opposite Forty Days Forty Nights star Josh Harnett. It is heard that the sexy babe is all set to do a number of hot steamy scenes with her co-star too.

When asked Bips what she felt about it, she says she is on cloud nine these days! “This project is something new and exciting for me. Working with Roland and getting to star opposite a heartthrob like Josh Hartnett is like a dream come true,”tells Bipasha to a tabloid.

Since the movie is passionate love story about an Indian bodyguard and a British soldier set apart in two different time zones, she also has no qualms to get up close and personal with Josh Harnett as the script demands such scenes.

As per the damsel, if she can do steamy scenes (Jism) and kiss co-star Ranbir Kapoor (Bachna Aey Haseeno), who is not her beau, why would she panic to do such scenes in a Hollywood film.

‘I want to see Bipasha as a bride’: Rocky S

It is well known that designer Rocky S and the Bengali babe, Bipasha Basu have been friends for over a decade now. And guess what the designer’s dream is??? Well, he wants to dress up the Bengali beauty when she ties the knot.

“My focus at the moment is to see Bipasha married. I definitely know it is nowhere on the scene and there is a long way to go but the day she gets married, I want to dress her up for her big day. She is the woman whom I would want to dress up,” Rocky S told in an interview.

The designer showcased his bridal collection at AZA here Thursday.

His collection was inspired from Rajasthani and Turkish designs, and included lehengas, sarees, and churidar kurtas threaded with silk, jacquard, chiffon, georgette, soft satin and crepe.

“My collection focuses not only the brides but also the entire family for whom it is equally a gala affair to get dressed up for a special occasion. The bling in the dresses has been subdued and the colors have been choosen accordingly,” he added.

Other Bollywood actress present at the ocassion were, Ameesha Patel, model Yana Gupta and singer-actress Sophie Choudhary.

Bips ad creates flutters

Bips ad for lotto, has heated up the cyber world completely. The actor is topless in this ad. The ad also features Vivek Oberoi. Shot in India, the ad was directed by Ken Nahoum and art direction by illustrator Tommy Kane.

However, Bipasha’s manager confirmed that it is indeed her only who has been featured in this ad.

“Bipasha had done this ad in 1999 when she was with Ford Modelling Agency in New York. It was an international assignment and was meant for the international market. I don’t know why such an old ad has surfaced now,” said Bipasha’s manager.

In terms of Indian standards, the ad is very bold and will surely be rejected by the audiences.

‘Pankh’ will see Bipasha Basu in nine different looks

Priyanka Chopra received critical acclaims for her varied avatars in ‘Whats Your Rashee?”. Now, bong beauty Bipasha Basu is set to enthrall the audience with her nine different looks in forthcoming ‘Pankh’ produced by Sanjay Gupta’s White Feather Entertainment and directed by Sudipto Chattopadhyay.

The story of ‘Pankh’ revolves around the life of a child actor who grows up thinking he’s a girl. The film is based on a true story of child actor Ashish Channa, who played a pivotal role in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Vastu Shashtra’. Ashish’s mother would often pass her off as a boy only to get her to work in smaller and bigger screen.

Talking about the movie, the director says, “I think Pankh is mainly an urban film. The theme that we have touched in this film identifies more with the sensibilities of the urban dwellers. May be in a few rural areas the film might be appealing. But, I have always maintained that this film touches upon a subject that is way different that you see in usual mainstream films.”

Bipasha Basu – the generation next new Bride

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu sashayed on the ramp in a yellow and beige sari at the inaugural show of the Lakme Fashion Week here Friday for her close friend and designer Rocky S.

The actress, who is mostly seen in bright and happy colours was a bit apprehensive about wearing the dull hue but Rocky took her into confidence and the end result was worth the try, as Bipasha looked simple yet elegant in the light shade.

Rocky said that his collection is for today’s women who have great body and love to experiment with colours.

“It’s a traditional Indian line, mostly aimed at a younger crowd with softer designs. The colours are very soft. There are ivories, corals in the design, the cuts are softer, the fabrics are much cooler for the summer. There is very little embellishment but in the right place and at the right time,” explained Rocky.

The saris, dresses and kurta-churidars, made of fabrics like fabrics like chiffons, georgettes and net, were in various shades of beiges, ivory, pale yellow, peach, nude and blue.

There have been many rumors lately about this beautiful couple’s break-up. However, the fact is that John and Bipasha have moved in together. They both did not make any public appearance after the rumor of their break-up. According to the Bollywood gossipers, Bipasha had ended the relation and they were not together anymore. It was also said that the couple has decided to give each other some space and let love take a backseat. After New York, John made no public appearance, while Bipasha was seen alone for the promotions of her movies.

In spite of the rumors, it was found out that John and Bipasha are not only in love but have also moved in together. A close source of Bipasha says, “John is now living with Bips at her Khar residence. Even though the move is not permanent, the two spend a lot of time together. Like any couple, John and Bipasha also have arguments but that does not mean they have split.”

They couple many issues but that has been sorted out. Sometime back, the couple decided to give some space to each other, and that is the reason John did not accompany Bipasha at many events. Bips thought that the relation was becoming stagnant, and she asked John that they should spend some time apart.

When asked Bipasha about their relationship problems, Bipasha Laughed and said, “Guess we are living with each others ghosts day and night then! Thank you for informing me about this ridiculous buzz again. I am not a story and if people are talking, they have nothing else to do and cannot be happy for anyone. People thrive on negativity. Sorry to disappoint all those who are making this the talk of the town. Either I am getting married or breaking up! Amazing! Year after year the same stories.” However, John was unavailable for the comment.

Bollywood hottest babe Bipasha Basu turned 31 year old on January 7th, 2010. Bipasha kick started her career as a model by winning Ford’s super model contest in 1996, after a successful stint in Modeling Bipasha shifted to movies.

Bipasha Basu won the Fimlfare best debutant award for her debut flick Ajnabee opposite Akshay Kumar, she then won the best villain award for her portrayal of Sonia Mehra in Jism opposite John Abraham. Her superb perfomance in Madhur Bhandarkar’s corporate fetched her the nomination for Filmfare best actress award.

Where Bipasha performed at the Sahara Star in Mumbai for a whopping amount of about Rs. 2 crores, Celina danced at the Country Club for a charge of about 60 lakhs. Bipasha is performing in five star hotel on New Year’s eve. Apparently, Bipasha Basu is the only to get a good deal for her act on 31 December. Sources have said that, Bipasha is performing for 15 minutes and has asked for two crores. Bipasha remained unavailable for comment. Two years back in 2007, she charged Rs. 90 Lakh for a 15 minute performance in a different hotel.

When asked the leggy lass about remuneration, Bipasha says, “All I say, its great money and they have offered me the same deal that I got two years ago with another hotel. And it is been two years, so the rates would have gone up. Naturally the amount has to be very big or I would not be doing it.”

The beautiful actress will have a grand entry twice, and will be performing on some of the hit songs of Bollywood. She is also performing on some songs from the 70s. When asked her if she it was a step down from her previous performance, she said, “I cannot keep performing at the same hotel every year. It is afive star hotel, credible they pay me good money and there are nice people associated with it. Apart from that, John and his family and our friends will also come for the event and we will have our own party there. The hotel has agreed to host our party too.”

Fashion designer Rocky S is designing Bipasha’s costume for the event, he says, “both Bipasha’s outfits are shiny, elaborate and very expensive as befitting a New Year’s show. My favorite color for Bipasha is red so one number is a very 40s style, vintage dress in red above the knee, fully tasseled in silk and clustered in red Swaroski crystals. The second dress is made of georgette, is in onion pink and completely covered with diamonds. It is a very short dress with tassels at the hem. Both the dresses are very sexy.”

The red carpet ceremony for ‘Lux Sabse Favorite Kaun 2010’ was jazzed up by the B-Town celebrities with their style and panache. The winners for ‘Lux Sabse Favorite Kaun 2010’ awards have been selected through a voting campaign spanning across 30 cities along with multiple brand activation and a multitude of voting techniques like the SFK Websites, SMS, among others. The show got a overwhelming response with a collection of over 1.7 crore votes from across the world.

The best part of the night was the wrapping up of it marked by an electrifying performance by Khiladi Kumar who hip-hopped to the hit track ‘Paisa Paisa’ from ‘De Dana Dan’ and later on the remix from ‘Blue’.
