South stars are catching up a lot faster now and getting used to the controversies that are a daily affair in Bollywood. Two new budding actors – Sidharth and Shruti Hassan, who have been linked together since a month now, answered the media very smartly, still keeping the suspense on their relationship. While Sidharth refused to accept or deny the rumour and said that such things don’t bother him, Shruti said that she would only talk about the film that they both are a part of.

Karisma Kapoor gives birth to a baby boy
Karisma Kapoor, 36, gave birth to a baby boy today morning at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He is Karisma’s second child after her daughter Samaira. Gathered at the hospital along side Karisma is the entire Kapoor family to give the latest arrival a grand welcome.

Stars shine at IPL 2010 curtain raiser
It was not the Filmfare nor was it the premiere of a big film. But Thursday night was no different as the Mahalaxmi’s turf club was packed with celebrities from every field. Right from film stars, business tycoons to sport stars all were present at the party hosted by the IPL commissioner Lalit Modi for the curtain raiser of DLF IPL T20.

Last few months haven't been too kind for Riteish Deshmukh with RANN, ALADIN and DO KNOT DISTURB not really doing well at theaters. Given the fact that he had invested so many months in these films with a lot of faith entrusted in it, one wonders if it was more of a personal rather than a professional loss for him.

"No, not at all", he says promptly, "I don't treat box office failure as a personal loss. You do films because you like them, you believe in them. All of them are your responsibility and you have to accept the final outcome. When you fail, then you move ahead and put more effort in your next outing. You better yourself next time. I have faith in the people I work with and understand where they are coming from. You can't have control beyond that."
He would be seen in light hearted films like JAANE KAHAN SE AAYI HAI and HOUSEFULL next. Before a serious role in RANN, he had taken the comedy route with ALADIN. Over the last 6 odd months, has he been able to analyze that what really went wrong? It is one thing when a film is rejected by audience due to poor word of mouth and another when there aren't many foot falls.
"Probably we did something which was not in synch with what people wanted. Yes, we did make what we believed in and did so with complete honesty. I am extremely proud and happy about this fact for sure. Audience verdict is something that we have to accept and move ahead. Yes, I am quite positive about both JAANE KAHAN SE AAYI HAI and HOUSEFULL and am sure that it would be Thumbs Up this April", smiles away Riteish.
Shahid Kapoor is Scared of Being 'Bekaraar' in 'Paathshala'
From a poor dance student forced to live in his car to a sensitive school teacher trying to do what is best for his pupils, Shahid Kapoor takes a big leap into the world of adults with his role in director Milind Ukey’s upcoming movie "Paathshala."
After playing an ambitious dancer in "Chance Pe Dance" alongside Genelia D’Souza, Shahid is taking on a more serious role in the forthcoming drama "Paathshala."
The flick that mixes drama with comedy, talks about a school teacher’s life trying to teach kids in today’s Indian education system. It packs in emotions and laughter and ends with a strong message for adults and children alike.
And Shahid’s role in "Paathshala" is not too different from Aamir Khan’s role in the 2007 movie "Taare Zameen Par." But with all the problems that India’s education system is facing today, there cannot be too many movies on this subject.
"I would happily admit that "Paathshala" is inspired by "Taare Zameen Par," except for the fact that "Paathshala" was conceived and written a year ago. It’s about a sensitive teacher’s interaction with a group of kids," Shahid’s friend and producer, Ahmed Khan, told IANS.
"I’ve signed some really talented kids like Sweeney Khare from "Cheeni Kum," Ali Haji from "Fanaa" and Dwij Yadav from "Nanhe Jaisalmer." We’re really fortunate to suddenly have so many talented kids in our cinema. So why not put them to creative use? It’s about time we addressed issues regarding children in a serious but entertaining way," he added.
The drama also stars Nana Patekar, Sushant Singh, "De Dana Dan" actor Suniel Shetty, Shraddha Arya, Ayesha Takia, and Avika Gor.

Shilpa Shetty Makes Glam Red Carpet Entrance at IPL Party
Newlywed Shilpa Shetty sure was in a prancing mood as she posed for the cameras at last night’s IPL red carpet event at Tote. The IPL team owner donned an extremely tight, turquoise dress with black high heels.
And it sure looked like the actress had an amazing time with hubby Raj Kundra. Kudos to Shilpa for getting into that dress, it must have taken hours of yoga to fit into the very small number! And Shilpa was in a very good mood!
"IPL dinner tonight,grand evening planned by Lalit.performances by Lional ritchie,Akon and more..so lookin fwd to meetin the IPL family..," the Twitter newcomer tweeted.
But the "Dostana" item girl almost didn’t make it to the party as her plane was delayed and she took to her newly opened Twitter account to tell fans:
"Air traffic,landed late terrible traffic so reached home late!got ready in record time!On my way to the Party now.phew!:)"
Once she arrives though the business woman partied all night long alongside her players and shared some of her thoughts on Twitter:
"The boys making the best of tonites bash before the maches begin..Shane is a very strict capt.no late nights once the games begin:). Shamita lookin Hot tonite;)Met a lot of other players frm other teams..nice to c the camaraderie betw them."
The proud IPL team owner is known for her glam fashion picks and last night was no exception! Shilpa didn’t seem to suffer from wearing a very tight attire as she pranced around the cameras on the red carpet and posed playfully for all the photographers.
The choice of a turquoise-colored dress was indeed interesting and only a glamorous lady like Shilpa Shetty can pull off the sexy look! So with husband Raj by her side, she partied the night away hoping for her team to get a good start to the new season!
