Ranbir Kapoor is Priyanka’s new fan!!

Looks like Ranbir Kapoor is completely smitten by Priyanka Chopra’s potential.

He is just done with the shoots of Anjaana Anjaani which will see him romancing Priyanka Chopra for the first time.

“Priyanka Chopra is phenomenal talent. If you work with her you will realize how hard she works and how much knowledge she has about performances and character. She is such a fine actor that she betters your work,” says Ranbir.

“I think for her it’s truth and honesty behind every performance that counts,” he adds.

Anjaana Anjaani should release towards the second half of this year. Ranbir now is looking forward to work with Priyanka again in Anurag Basu’s next. And quite natural he is all excited.

Kudos to your hard work Priyanka. Your fan list is never ending.

Item song in Rajneeti

An item song in Prakash Jha’s films is a must. He believes item songs in his films does not halt the story of a film but moves the plot forward.

Television actress Barkha Bisht will be Raajneeti’s item girl. Barkha, who shares a long-distance marriage with her husband Indraneil Sengupta, shot for the song last week, she danced to a sizzling track Ishq Barse Hai Boondan Boondan choreographed by Bosco-Ceaser.

Barkha is really excited these days. Says Barkha,

“The item song in Raajneeti is my big-screen debut. I chose to start my film career with a dance because I’ve been on reality shows on television and have the confidence to carry it off. Also, this is a big film. And I will be noticed. Better an item in a big film than a lead in a film that no one will watch.”

Prakash chose Barkha since he decided to go with an absolutely fresh-faced girl who can dance. His daughter Disha made the final selection.

Audience is the king: Ranbir

Lover boy Ranbir Kapoor has always played the role of a sweet romantic hero in almost all his films and hence the tag lover boy has been linked to his name.

However he says he is here to act and would be willing to take up any job as long as he likes the character and the script.

When people pointed out about him playing a sober character in Prakash Jha’s ‘Raajneeti’, he decided to clear it out.

“I am not a lover boy. I am an actor. I have had just five releases so far and when I got the opportunity to work with Prakash Jha and such a great ensemble cast I felt lucky. Plus I loved the story of the film and hence I happy to be a part of the film,”

He adds saying,

“I think it is up to the audience to decide if this is the correct film for me or now,”

Well lover boy, only time will tell us whether serious roles suit you or not.

Abhishek out of Mani Ratnam’s Raavanan

OK OK!! We are not talking about the Hindi version but the Tamil remake. Abhishek is not doing Mani Ratnam’s Raavanan in Tamil while Ash is still in the project.

Aishwarya well versed in Tamil, having done films like Iruvar and Jeans before. While Abhishek doesnot know a word in Tamil and according to him, he won’t do a film in a language he does not understand.

Southern actor Prithviraj now plays Dev’s character in Raavanan.

Though Mani Ratnam wanted Abhishek to do the Tamil version too, Abhishek managed to convince him. So as of now Aishwarya still a part of the project, but Abhishek is no more!

Asin-Dhoni, seeing each other???

The hottest news in B-town is that Asin and MS Dhoni are getting cozy and spending some private moments together. Dhoni was recently spotted at Asin’s apartment. Apparently both of them wanted to catch up with the first IPL semi-final between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians.

It has been reported that Dhoni arrived long before the match was about to begin and his presence drew a buzz and media attention. Excited people also gathered to watch a glimpse of their favorite star. It is believed that Dhoni left quitely after the match finished.

The media is wondering whether the two stars are dating each other or not. Incidentally, Asin and Dhoni met when they were selected as the brand ambassador of Big Bazaar. They liked each other’s company and have been in touch ever since.

Ranbir-Deepika back again???

The once upon a time real-life couple Ranbir-Deepika seem to have patched up once again.

After the most talked about break off few months ago, the duo was seen together with close friends around recently. The couple later on went to catch up with Deepika’s latest release Housefull in one of the theatres.

A source revealed that Ranbir-Deepika sat next to each other and were quite comfortably chatting. This act of theirs took everyone present in the theatre by a surprise but they did not bother and were busy enjoying the film and attention as well.

I will be getting married to Salman in two years, says Katrina

In a recent chat, Katrina talks about everything under the sun, from her role in ‘Raajneeti’ to her marriage plans to love-hate relationship with peers.

Katrina Kaif is all set to break the myth of a glam doll and try her hand at a serious role with ‘Raajneeti’, director Prakash Jha’s latest political offering. Her de-glam look, draped in a sari in the promos of the film has already become the talk of the town.

“I went to Prakash Jha’s office thinking that I might say no to the role. But when he narrated my character and the script, he was definitely able to convince me. Though I mostly enjoy doing fun, romance filled commercial films, after hearing the script I decided not to be prejudiced about it and give it a try. It is nothing like breaking a mould but I am an actor and performing varied roles makes me feel excited.” she speaks about her film ‘Rajneeti’.

When asked about the kinda relationship she shares with peers,

She says, “Truly speaking, we share a very tight space while working together but we do exchange conversations. I do not have very close friendship with anyone as such. I know Preity Zinta, I have met Priyanka (Chopra) once at Yash Raj Films and we did discuss a few things. I have shared quite some good moments with Kareena Kapoor. I do not believe in making foes. So it’s very simple, I do not have any differences with any of my peers.”

When asked about marriage,
“Yes, I am very friendly to the Khan family. I think I may have just dreamt that I will be getting married to Salman in two years and hence said that. But well, on a serious note, marriage will happen, but when, that is yet not decided.”
