Big B wins best actor awards at Lions Gold Awards
This reel life mother and son duo are sweeping all the awards this year for their wonderful act in Paa. Amitabh Bachchan won the best actor award for his portrayal of Auro in Paa. Congratulations Big B.

Imran gifts Avantika Volkswagen Beetle
Imran Khan gifted his long time girlfriend now fiancee a Volkswagen Beetle specially imported from Europe as an engagement gift.
A source says, “Imran gifted her a red Beetle as her engagement present. He got the car from Europe and was at it for a month and a half.”
Imran says, “I knew that Avantika had always wanted this car, even six years back when we were studying in the US. So, I just knew that I had to buy one for her and this occasion was just the perfect excuse. Since the car has just launched, I had to convince the top bosses to let me have one, way before it actually hits the roads in a few months time. That took quite an effort. But her smile made it all worth it.”
Imran and Avantika also have matching number plates on their cars, he reveals, “Both of our license plates are a combination of her and my birthdates. She totally freaked out. She couldn’t believe it.”
Imran’s engagement was held at a farmhouse in Karjat and was attended by friends and family.
The source adds, “It is a very private affair and only family and close friends are invited.”
Imran and Avantika had been dating each other for the last five years.
Salman Khan rocks Hyderabad
Salman Khan who has huge fan following in Hyderabad, started the promotional activity of his upcoming flick Veer from Hyderabad’s Prasadz Multiplex.
Clad in simple t-shirt and jeans, the crowd went berserk when they saw their hero coming in along with his co-star Zarine Khan.
The elevator and the entrance was wrecked by the crowd and five people were injured during the frenzy.

Imran Khan wore a great short sherwani, Avantika opted for a blue off-shoulder Varun Bahl dress for her engagement ceremony. Big B at Rann promotion
Amitabh Bachchan will be back on the big screen after his hit movie Paa with Ram Gopal Varma’s Rann. Amitabh plays a media baron in the flick.
Director RGV says, “I expose the media by showing its true colours…the pressures, problems and complexities in running a 24 hour news channel.”
The film also starrs Reitesh Deshmukh as an investigative journalist.

After watching 3 Idiots our B-town celebrities are giving advice to their young fans about handling stress in the class. Read below to know more:
Kangana Ranaut: “I left school when I was 16. But I’m glad to tell you I’ve always been a topper in my class. To achieve that I used to study 18 hours a day. The science in school didn’t help me much in my daily life as an adult. But the passion to be the best in my class and the love for books remain. Now I’m an artiste and I read on art. And I thank my hard work during school for this.”
Celina Jaitely: “I’ve done one and a half years of BSc and have a software engineering degree from NIIT. I scored 89 percent in 10th boards and 75 per cent in 12th. I used to feel very stressed during board exams. Thanks to my parents I made it through all my panic attacks.
“Playing a sport like tennis or swimming is a great way to keep fresh and alert. I remember my mother insisted we play a sport for half an hour even during exams. It was a great stress buster. Focus well on your studies. Do meditation and take power naps.”
Urmila Matondkar: “I’m a BA in psychology. I was always under stress in both school and college as I had to manage both studies and acting. I dealt with it by diverting stress into positive aggression in my studies.
“My advice to students: Stress is part of life. You can’t run away from it. So, deal with it before it’s too late. It helps to be book-smart at any time of life, as long as you learn from those books and not just mug.”
Dino Morea: “I became a graduate. Was never stressed at school. Had the best time ever. Yes, if reading and being aware of a subject is being book-smart, for sure it’s handy in life. I was never depressed in school. I was naughty, but I studied hard.”

Shahid Kapoor: I am single, ready to mingle
Shahid Kapoor recently featured as a celebrity guest on Karan Johar’s show Lift Kara De on Sony Entertainment channel.
Shahid on the show said, “I am very much single, available and definitely ready to mingle.”
Shahid was also asked whether he is dating his new co-star Rab Ne Banadi Jodi girl Anushka Sharma, to which he replied, “You had better ask Parmeet that question. After all directors have all the fun these days!”

Kareena snubs Shahid
Kareena Kapoor came ace to face with her ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor during rehearsals for a recent awards function.
Kareena who was walking with her buddy Lovely Singh and secretary Zahid, saw Shahid Kapoor at a distance but ignored him and went away.
A souce says, “Kareena was scheduled to perform at the event and had just finished her rehearsals. Kareena decided to take a walk backstage while Shahid (who was also hosting a segment) was making his way towards the same area. Kareena looked like she didn’t notice him, but Shahid was quite surprised to see her.”
Another source says, “It is sad to see that they can’t even exchange a polite hello, though they were once in a relationship. Neither of them has come clean on the reasons for the break-up. But evenKareena’s manager Zahid, who once also managed Shahid, didn’t feel the need to exchange any pleasantries with him.”

Hrithik Roshan’s birthday concluded into the night at SRK’s home Mannat, where he specially invited his friends Abhishek-Aishwarya and Vivek and also made Abhi and Vivek patch up.
A source says, “Shah Rukh certainly did not want any of his guests to feel tense at his home. Besides, he had personally invited Abhishek, Aishwarya, Vivek and many others to Mannat, when they met at Hrithik’s birthday party in Juhu.”
A day before at an awards show, Vivek also talked to Big B and said, “Sir, it has been a long time, aap to aaj kal baat hi nahin karte.”
Looks like Vivek is back into Bachchan parivaar’s good books.
